A lot of the time when I'm working I get so fully submersed that I loose track of time and other things. I've actually felt that way a lot in the studio lately. Do you ever get into bed at night and you feel like you were just there, like you didn't have at day in between the nights? Weird.
Sometimes there is something that jolts me out of the altered reality. Like today when I opened my first diet coke of the day, at noon (which in itself is pretty amazing) and set it on my table then got right back to painting until...
I accidentally knocked it off of the table and watched it as it spun through the air spraying the room from the door to the curtain, over and under everything in sight. Sheesh! That woke me up.
Anyway, today I worked on my plates for this year's Art Access fundraiser. These plates are fun to paint. As I worked, each of them seemed to take on a life of there own. I'm excited for morning so that I can get back to work on them. I'm drinking diet pepsi tomorrow.

I wanna make some plates...
I need to get you a sham-wow for the Studio. That Diet Coke would be cleaned up in no time. Good to see you yesterday.
Pepsi tastes better anyway. ;)
