The idea for this painting came from an email I
received for my
retablos collaboration. It was about a mother's wish to keep her babies safe. I know that wish. I make that wish/prayer every night when I check on my little sleeping beauties, and again as I watch them ride away from me at school. My idea was to create a garden where they could all be safe together.
