This rainy weather is NOT helping! I've had these paintings under lights for three days. I even turned the heat in the studio up to blasting all night. deep breath
I am going to Youngstown, Ohio this weekend to be a guest artist at the Rich Foundation Fundraiser for Autism. The paintings that I'm bringing are a little more romantic than my recent work. The garden theme spilled over but the content is different. I'd say that when a painting has a more romantic feel to it, emotion is the force behind the churning and burning.

Wow...it's amazing how fast you do things, even if the weather is working against you. And what a wonderful cause!
That must be so fun to have so many finished paintings in your studio at one time. What a sense of accomplishment you must feel. They're all quite beautiful.
At certain times of the year, the wood workers at the company I work for pull their hair out waiting for finishes to dry and harden. And then the heat gets turned up and the heat lamps come out as we prepare for a deadline... But paintings are certainly more exciting than pipe organs!
Have fun at the show in Youngstown!
Drying time is the reason I've always preferred acrylics.
I'm partial to the romantic ones :)...love them.
