Art Parties

I was standing in the middle of a big room full of artwork and mostly familiar faces and I had to remind myself that it wasn't my art show, it was my dad's. During this season, for me time is measured in spaces between shows. I'm looking forward to finishing up, mostly because of the always looming deadlines.
As far as art openings go, I was thinking that people who love art are usually pretty fun and a little wacky and that makes for good parties.
Dan Barney insisted that I venture to the Provo Gallery Stroll to meet the girls he's been talking so much about. Pooneh Maghazehe's work was stunning, as was she. You can see it at Sego. Her friend, Elizabeth Hamby, took me outside to peek at their guerrilla art project. What is it about Utah Valley that makes people feel the need to go guerrilla. I'm not sure what it is but seems to happen a lot around here.
Pretty fun people who are a little wacky? Yes indeed.

M- do you ever go to the downtown Prove Gallery Stroll? Sego had over 600 peope come through Friday night. Impressive.
Said project can be seen in that vicinity. Look for styrofoam sticker shapes from a local craft store. It's all about making the world a better place.
