In music and painting, I've always loved getting lost in a story. These paintings start a narrative. I get excited every time I look at them. They are available at The Greenwich Gallery.

Party!
These photos are from the opening of Works on Paper. What a party it was. The rainbow photos are the closest thing to being there.

Works on Paper
Abigail hung an acorn with hopes of luck in love.
Lucinda counted the ladybug's spots. Oh my, four spots meant four children... or a good harvest.
Cynthia didn't spend much time outside at night so from her room she imagined shooting stars to wish upon.Works on Paper opens this weekend at the Greenwich Workshop Gallery in Seymour. Check this link if you'd like to see my dad's and my sister's artworks.

Be Where Your Feet Are

GWS is printing Be Where Your Feet Are as a canvas limited edition. I'm excited. I want it hanging in my house. The original will be at our show, Works on Paper at the Greenwich Workshop Fine Art Gallery in Seymour, Connecticut next month.
To be where my feet are is something I remind myself often. My mind tends to drift toward the future, sometimes planning or worrying about what lies ahead, missing the present. Being present is where life is the most rich and colorful. I've even found myself consciously feeling the soles of my feet on the ground to get myself there.
I really like the way the images on the vintage wallpaper enriched the idea. The hunters in the background could be a distraction but the figure stands with her feet on the ground, amongst the most beautiful flowers.

Happy Birthday Bev
Yesterday we had very special guests for dinner. Michelle Littell and Bev Dolittle flew in for a quick visit and it just happened to be Bev's birthday. Dan made her one of his infamous chocolate cakes along with one of the best dinners I've had in forever. Bev made a wish with one candle. I'll have to ask her about this special wishing technique. She's been pretty lucky so whatever it is, I want to know about it.
Bev is so famous and so talented and she is super lovely to be with. That's pretty cool. I don't know if I could be as cool as she is, if I were in her shoes. Michelle is a spicy little thing who books all of the shows I do with Greenwich. I forget sometimes how nice it is that the people I work with are like family.
