I ended up
gessoing the flannel and drawing/painting on the pieces. Sometimes I sewed parts of drawing together.
Littlest Kitten played around with some of the extra pieces and came up with the most interesting, lovely compositions. She told me stories while I worked. It was a heavenly evening in the studio.
She drew the figure below. Dreamy little kitten!
