Memento Park

We went to a place outside of town called Memento Park where oodles of sculpture that had been pulled out of the city during different times of reform and been dumped.

Mostly there were gigantic, stoic figures representing Soviet ideals. It was a spooky and tragic learning about the ways in which artwork can be used as a tool to manipulate.
When we got back in town, we found a little MJ tribute on a tree.

This city is full of remembrances.
