Dan Barney was more than surprised, he was in shock! I think all of his girls started talking to him at once. He as a good sport, smiling through his tired eyes. We got him to pose of a couple of pictures then sent him off to unpack out presents (art supplies of course.)
I came back outside one more time to enjoy the lights and put a few things away. I do love summer.

I loved reading about all of it. Great photos! There was a lot of passion and drama going on. Loved the Turkish theme.
So fun! Obviously Dan is a much loved man-- to inspire such a welcome home. Glad Dan's home and I'm pretty envious of your Turkish patio delight!
When I grow up I want to be like Cass! You have to be the funnest mom on the planet! Everything you do seems like fun! You inspire me!
Your patio looks lovely.
Your patio looks amazing! Do you hire yourself out as an interior designer? :-)
You have created a Turkish Palace on your patio--so much imagination!!!! Love the pillows. Your girls are beautiful!
I just remembered the name of the palace--it's the Topkapi Palace--that's what your patio looks like.

I would like to thank you for the time you put into your blog. I love reading and seeing your wonderful art. The pictures of your family around the house remind me of work by the Swedish painter Karl Larsson (1853-1919). Are you familiar with his work? I invite you to check it out if you get the chance. Self portraits in the studio, you and the children in the garden, your love for you spouse, fun crafts with your children….your like the modern Karl Larsson.
