Last night my brother Pete and I attended our first gardening class in a series of six. We are both totally excited to get started. Pete wants to dig up his front lawn so he can plant more. I told him I'd help.
I learned a lot in that hour and a half. I honestly didn't know that tons fertilizer isn't always a good idea and that I didn't have to water everything every day. I can't believe I had any crops at all last year. Duh. This year I'm going at this with a little more knowledge under my utility apron.
I'm going to work on a list of interesting things to plant now.

I'm diggin' the new masthead. Where'd you get the garden army image? My kids' elementary school has a garden, I think I should print some out and hang 'em up...
