In the phone conversation with the lady from Ballet West, I was asked to do an artwork with the point shoes and I was told where and when they were being displayed. All I really heard was the first part about the shoes and after that my mind was busy with ideas and designs instead of listening to the rest of the conversation. That happens sometimes. If I start saying uh-huh a lot and look a little distant, it's possible that I'm not comprehending much outside of the playground in my mind.
Before I began painting, I had so many ideas for the shoes. I was really uptight, trying not to mess them up. I did much better when I stopped thinking so hard and just started working.
I did, of course, put on Kate's Russian Ballet costume and do a little bit of twirling on my painting breaks. Dancing is a lovely thing to do.

drawing on dresses, painting on shoes, I'm seeing a pattern...
Cass, I love the shoes! I can't believe how fast you got it done! They look great!
Very creative. That is a really nice thing to do and someone will love them.
they "turned out" perfectly!
You work FAST!
I love them! I actually tried to put them on .. but they didn't fit. I would totally bid on them .. no for real I would .. seriously .. I love them and I want them. Oh I just had an idea .. will you paint some for me to wear at my wedding?
Sista-
For you I'd paint your shoes, your dress and the floor you stand on.
Thanks y'all.
I love the way the colors really stand out against the light pink og the ballet slippers. And the fact that they are red heads...I'm bias.
