For the past couple of days, I've left an hour at the end of my allotted work time to experiment. I've been drawing then painting, then drawing and painting again on gessoed paper. It's refreshing and exciting. Beautiful accidents happen. The paper responds differently to the pencils and paint brushes, creating more sensitive, direct marks.
