I was helping middle kitten tonight with a report on Matisse. I was looking at the paper cut outs that he did later in life when was unable to paint anymore. I thought about how he might have felt in that environment that he embellished, balanced and charged with color. That's exactly what I've been doing. It's a different way of seeing it. I started thinking about my home as a living canvas. There are so many possibilities.
It is hard to photograph the whole so above are a couple of little moments. I want them to be like little shrines, tiny surprises that might not be immediately noticed. My mediums of choice this season (besides spray paint and hot glue) are tin, gold paper and pom-poms.
