The Met

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is one of my favorite places in the whole world. I get all reverent, even on the steps outside the building. Every time I visit, I feel all filled up and wanting to be a better painter. I'm also so glad that there are so many artists to be in awe of. I'm glad there are artworks that are so far out of reach I am spellbound in their presence.

I try to visit something new with each visit. Arms and Armour was really interesting. The idea of armour brings up several branches of thought. In my sketchbook I made a note to explore that later. I think it was even more fun because little boys and big little boys get so excited about it that it's catching. I was ready to suit up and...try to walk?
