It's probably the full moon. I just start acting crazy. I can't help myself. Let me sum it up with one word, Tuna Casserole. And...I embellished it with a fancy topping that I made up. Dan Barney said it sort of had an Asian twist to it. The house smells a bit odd but I thought it tasted pretty good. Teen Kitten has a teen pack which mainly consists of... I'll call them "tom-cats." I often want to write about them on this blog but I won't so as to respect the privacy of my teen kitten, even though this addition to our life is very entertaining, a little like earwigs only cuter. Well, it just happened that we had a little tom-cat here during the dinner hour and I dare say that the tuna casserole might not be something he was accustomed to. I had to downright demand that he at least taste it. I also asked the tom-cats this evening if I could cut off a little, tiny lock of hair to make voodoo dolls for Halloween decorations. They refused that request flat out, a bit frightened actually, and yet not frightened enough because they're still here.
I'm getting ready to ship the rest of the show, Tree of Life. As I'm looking at them all together, I wish that they could stay together, as a group. A body of work is a little like a family or a chapter of a story.
My painting of "Women Stuck in Holes" is still drying. I think I was stuck in a hole trying to solve it but it's close.

Oh boy, you're in trouble now...once the tom-cats know you're friendly you can NEVER get rid of them. Bwa-ha-ha!!!

My monkeys love being written about. They feel important when they make the blog.

Your paintings are lovely. Lots of vivid colors.

Laura- The stories are so funny. Teens are so runny. BOYS are so funny. I'll just say this...I'm staying home more than I did before. I thought when the teen years arrived I'd be free but that's not what happens.

Batty- I'm follwing your lead...

I read your blog to my teenage daughter. She got a kick out of the voodoo dolls. My husband got a kick out of the fact that it didn't scare them enough.

Her entourage is mostly boys, too. And I am finding ways to keep her busy and with me, more and more. Dance classes and choirs are great for that.

I love the paintings! I wish I could see them in person...
Maybe someday...

Cass- Everyone keeps telling Nate that he's in trouble in a few years when the girls get a little older. We're probably in the same boat as you.

Did you see their pink hair?

As for now, I'm thrilled my middle daughter chooses to play with the boys at recess over participating in the major girl drama that happens in her class. Difficult dynamic, that. I'm proud of her. Boys that behave themselves make great friends.

Good luck.
