That Dan Barney and teen kitten ran to pick up Thai food and brought in a mystery box along with the sticky rice and green curry. They said that they had a surprise that I would love... a craft for some family fun. When I saw plastic doll parts and cute little cake pans, I got a dizzy with excitement.
I've always felt a little ripped off because my mom wouldn't buy me one of those big Barbie heads that you put make-up on. I did however have fashion plates and this craft was like a merging of those two things. Oh what fun!
I wonder if we could coat them in resin or something to preserve them... like fake food in a restaurant window. That would be nice. Or... we could eat the cake, give the gals a little bath and dress them up again. That would be even better. They're just so pretty.
Re: Crafts
One day I realized that making crafts to sell actually cost me money because it took away from my painting time no to mention the cost of all of the supplies and equipment. That didn't stop me from making stuff, it just gave me the freedom to make stuff for fun that no one would ever buy. Making these deliciously decorated puffyhairedladycakes was a blast because it was just for us. It was fun too that we were joined by Zack and Brenda who have serious skills with the frosting tools.

It's a shame they all have to have short hair. They do look yummy though!
