I can't think of a better way to unravel a tangled day than to work into the night, listening to Elvis Costello and drawing. I let my heart sit in a warm bath of emotion. I am present in those feelings, some happy and some sad, some rewarding and some disappointing. I own both of those things, my heart and my drawings. They are places where honesty and directness are evident. I'm glad there are those places.
