Besides the obvious connotations of being 'buck naked' and how much we all enjoy that, I really like the symbolism and stories associated with the stag. A Christian symbol book I looked at said that the stag is the enemy of the serpent. I also read that it's antlers represent strength and fortitude. The stag is an emblem of purity and fleetness and is associated with healing. I also think that there is something gentle, strong and sincere about a buck. It's a quiet animal whose beautiful eyes are direct and honest.
