As a mother/artist, something that has been important to me is that my little girls feel like they are not excluded from the part of my life that I spend in the studio. I've made it a point to call it 'our studio' even when I've really craved an atmosphere of quiet solitude so that I could create and
concentrate.
It'll be so interesting to see what, if anything, they will do with this environment.
There are so many
artists in their lives. They
surprised me the other day by spending hours quietly painting in the studio, each doing a fabulous painting. Each painting reflected their age and level of development. All three had women and birds...nice!
