I will be showing new work in Palm Desert, California at the Coda Gallery, Thursday March 1, 5-pm.Tree of Knowledge is about the power that knowledge has as a weapon or as a tool. I picked up a book all about knifes and I enjoyed getting caught up in noodling them out (a term my father uses referring to paintings details). I thought the pastel background added a nice touch with the ominous dangling knives ripe and ready to be plucked from the tree.

i am haunted by this painting........i love it
I dig the colors...the contrast of the background softness and the intensity of the "subjects".
The concept is intriguing too...sucked me right in.
