Painting Saves Me

On her stage, with roses and a ring of fire around her feet, she performs. She wants to share her light, the light that burns from her heart and out through her fingertips.

Sometimes painting saves me because sometimes words aren't enough.

I LOVE this painting. It's more painterly than my work has been in the past while. It's got that emotive quality that I can't seem to force, it just happens once in a while. The colors and paint are splendid in real life. I'm sending it to Heritage Gallery in Cannon Beach for my show at the end of the month.
