Dan Barney and I have been using our patio as a summer kitchen. It's so pleasant out there. It's easy to clean up and it keeps the house from getting stuffy. Plus, since I'm in the studio so much, I feel like I need to be outside every possible minute to enjoy summer.
A couple of nights ago we were bringing back some produce from our plot in our neighborhood garden when I got the yen again. I think I said, "Pa, it's time to put up the harvest." I didn't really say that but I did have a pioneer/Little House on the Prairie moment in my mind.
