Summer is my favorite season. My senses are heightened and the days are long. All of the intensity charged up from being in the sun should be channeled into artwork, and yet, it's so hard to get into the studio and sit down to work.
So I've had to lay the smack down...with myself. I am painting/drawing everyday until noon. I get up before my kittens, which isn't hard, and I work. It's not difficult to work in the studio as long as I don't go outside to turn on the water in the garden. If I do, I'll start weeding and then the time is gone.
What am I doing?? I need to get back in the studio right now!
