Lucia Imagined That She Was The Christmas Angel Atop The Christmas Tree
This is one of two paintings I just finished. I wanted to paint something to remind myself that Christmas isn't a time to be stressed, that it's all about giving and happiness. It turned out just lovely. She has a warm glaze on her face that reminds me of the glow Christmas lights on my kittens faces when they sit near the tree. I like the idea of being atop the tree, calmly watching.
