There is a little gold latch that holds the two sides of my ribcage together. That latch is unhooked, the cage gently opens and my heart is exposed to bask in the light of the full moon. The moonlight cools my heart. I feel it swell, healthy, strong, and filled.
Apparently this isn't unique to me because, last night under that same moon, people on my street came together to give from their hearts too.

The rest of the story will follow today. In a span 48 hours, we are executing a project (extreme home makeover style) for a little one who's time with us is short. It's a happy event about something sad. It's why I belong to my church, people coming together to give.

*I took the above photo at Timp Caves last week, on a trip with my family. I hadn't been to the caves since I was a kid and I loved it.

My painting is glazed and finished. Ahhh...
I got started on the drawing the big one. I've got a pretty good idea of what I want in the painting and the general design. The puzzle of putting it all together is really fun.

I love the cave picture-so cool! And your painting is beautiful. Talent just seems to pour right on out of you 24/7.

That's wonderful Cassandra. It's amazing what people can do when they work together to help someone! Your new fresh panel is making me get into painting mode. Amazing what fresh canvas or panel can do with the artist mind!
