Tethered

As I was packing up my paintings, I felt that I am one step ahead of where I was, but few steps away from where I want to be. I'm grateful for my struggle, for my failed attempts and frustrations. In my struggle I become more sensitive to the struggles of others and the value of successes.

We delight in the beauty of the butterfly but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty. Maya Angelou

Tethered is still the painting that tugs at my heart when I look at it. I kind of want to keep it, but I also want to share it with someone who feels that same tug.

OK - I love collecting quotes and this one about butterflies actually made me cry. Isn't it absolutely true?!

This is a beautiful piece, Cass. Have you decided if you will be making prints of it?
